Worst Holiday Destination

Las Vegas.

I have no idea why anyone would want to spend time in Las Vegas. I have been there several times because the airport is convenient but it has no other redeeming features. The hotels are basically fronts for casinos and everything is unbelievably tacky and nasty.

Windy Harbour as a child. Rain and gale force winds most of the week. Looking back, it was Craggy Island writ large.

The Gambia. Beautiful place, beautiful people but a corrupt government that has sold out their nation for personal gain. Tragic and the poverty and injustice is so upsetting it spoils the holiday.

I went to Bodrum in Turkey on a lads holiday years ago and it was rubbish. No real nightlife as such in Bodrum at the time so we ended up going to Gumbet every night instead.

May be different now for a more sedate family holiday but as a lads resort it was poor compared to the likes of Ibiza and the like that i enjoyed far more (from what i can remember of them  )
