Bolton 1-0 Carlisle

Crunch time.

With Morecambe away to come, we can't afford anything other than a win tomorrow night which means we have to start quickly, defend as a team and take our chances when they come along - three things that we didn't do on Saturday.

Carlisle are very much in the hunt for a playoff place and recently they've come out of their bad patch and made themselves very hard to beat (2 wins followed by 3 draws) but even though they have a game in hand they really will have to go for it tomorrow to have any chance - they may leave spaces but this time we have to make the most of them.

So yet again we are going into a game not knowing which BWFC will turn up.
Presume Boggers will predict we'll smash them - and that could happen - but with all the uncertainty currently surrounding the team I have to go for a very unwelcome draw.

And at this stage we can't afford any injuries or red cards for key players.

We have to win, it's as simple as that and i don't care how we do it as long as we do. With Morecambe away after that it's essential.

I'm hoping the Grimsby game was just a blip as usually our defence is solid but we were all over the place on Saturday.

We are toothless in attack.

I'd drop Doyle and pick Miller. Or even better, change the system and pick them both.

But Evans will be Evans.

0-1 to the away side.

Maybe play Miller as the no 10 and give Lee a rest?

Miller has by far the best goals ratio to time on the pitch, he should be made captain and given a foot massage by the manager.

You’d drop the man that’s bagged 17 goals in a side that doesn’t score very often?

If Doyle got better service we'd have won this league already. How often does he drop back deep or go wide to pick up the ball leaving us short in the box.

Absolutely. That 17 should be at least 25, you can't deny he's missed some sitters in recent weeks.

Miller scores regularly with his 5-15 minute run outs.

Yes he’s missed sitters but he isn’t gonna correct that sat on the bench. I’m backing him to score a hat trick in this game

For some reason Doyle seems to score good goals and miss tap in's, only a madman (woman) would drop your top scorer, He's not the problem. Set peices and corners have not added anything to our chances to score, if we get a corner who ever thinks we will score? 

it is a crucial part of attacking and we are woeful at it. Allerdyce knew the value of a set peice Evatt needs to wise up.

Exactly what I've been saying.

If we win a corner,  we NEVER take advantage of the opportunity to use it to score a goal. We either just blast it into a sea of legs or take some weird short corner and lose control of the ball.  Set peices mean that somebody steps up and blasts it over the net.

Pathetic. What does Evatt do on the training pitch with them?

This season could fall apart if we don't get a grip, starting with three points tonight.

Fingers crossed, but don't put any money on this possession obsessed outfit.

Played very well first half but bloody hell they make us squirm. Everybody wins so as you where.

If Gilkes doesn't make it on Saturday we only have our selves to blame, we have ignored one of the key positions from match one this season and still we don't have a long term no 1.

They well deserved a point......we win but I don't know how.  They had double our shots.

Some of our boys looked really tired to me - I suppose Ian will not rest anybody for the next game.

A month ago we looked like world beaters - now we can't control or pass a ball.
