Wanderers pair Liam Edwards and Adam Senior are both heading to the National League North on loan.
Edwards has joined Southport on an initial month-long loan deal as he looks to build up his fitness.
The defender came off the bench at Rochdale in the Papa John’s Trophy – his first appearance for the Whites since January 2020 due to a serious knee injury.
Meanwhile, Senior has joined York City on an initial month-long deal as he continues his development.
The youngster was recalled from his loan spell at Ashton United after impressing in the Northern Premier League top-flight.
Senior has made five first team appearances for Wanderers and was regularly involved in pre-season, scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 win at Chorley.
“They are excellent moves for both of them,” Wanderers boss Ian Evatt told the club's website.
“We were delighted for Liam to come on get a few minutes at Rochdale after all the hard work and effort he has put in to get back on a football pitch.
“We have got a lot of quality defenders here so this is the best chance for him in the short term to go and play some first-team football and further build up his fitness.
“Adam has had a really good time at Ashton and done well for them, so this is the perfect move for him at this stage to go up a level and test himself at a big club in that division.”
