looks like a 4231 to me with Johnston playing as one of the 2 holding midfielders.

Crikey, no MJ or Lee and Delf gets a start, can’t get much worse than that. Also can’t see why Ronan isn’t at least on the bench, surely he’s back fully from his loan? Fear the worst today I’m afraid. 5-0 to Rotherham and we’ll be lucky to keep it to that. 🥴

Wow, a matchday thread. The mods should all be sacked and replaced by chimps.
We'll get dicked. Evans already has his excuses in though, so the result doesn't matter.

First game I’ve watched in a while, thought we deserved a point. Rotherham had way more of the play but we looked dangerous on the break throughout. Johnston in midfield helped, and Senior’s a better option than Brockbank at right back.
Couple of worrying points though (same old to be honest) - firstly we don’t create enough chances, Delf was a passenger throughout and we need more influence in that position.
Secondly the defending for both goals was poor, Thomason was left one on one with Smith for the opener, clearly Santos/Aimson should be on him. Every time the ball went wide they stuffed men into the box and we needed better organisation - I think we miss Gilks in that respect. We also need better protection of the full backs, either Kachunga and Dapo need to track back or the midfielders need to come across.

A tad unlucky today - well worth a point - good effort from all considering the club's situation at present.
The lack of quality stood out with poor passing and passes going straight of play and poor free kicks.
As I said before young George is a good backup but not good enough and Senior is not close although I will give him a pass being his lack of first team experience.
16th in the table now and slipping beyond any common sense hopes of a play-off spot.
Survival and mid-table finish will be good enough considering all things.

A better performance than I expected, but it doesn't change the fact it's another defeat.
I can't see things improving under this manager as we keep making the same mistakes time after time. The signing of Charles does nothing to change my mind we are in a relegation battle.
The first signing announced today should have been a no-nonsense, experienced leader who could put some fight into this team. Sadly, it was a striker who hasn't played all season.
Evans out.

We are just 6 points above the drop zone. They need to get their finger out more.

What good is a finger going to do? On second thoughts, don't answer that.

Well I hope this Dion Charles is match fit and can start on Tuesday and not the usual 6 months to get them ready to play!

I expect to see him start a match around March.

Missed this game but from the reports and highlights it seems like we did OK under the circumstances.
Still concerned about the signings we need though.
