Maybe PG has seen the light and is waiting to see if our progress continues when we play the 3rd placed team away on Saturday?
We shouldn't be in a rush to appoint just yet.

In which case poor Dougie could be out of work seeing as how he has burnt his bridges at Palace.

Indeed amigo. Suspect we'll get him but not yet. If the dreamteam hadn't got a 2 pts a game average he would be in by now. If we get anything away at Boro he may be on hold if the deal's not done.

Something very odd in all this, I can't help think Palace and Freedman may have fucked up big style. They said he left to take the bolton job yet a day on and he still hasn't signed for us, maybe he walked over other issues aswell and not just the bolton job.
For Phillips to state last night he was going to be in charge for the Boro game seems strange if Freedman is on the verge of signing.

Calm down, no club releases a statement until something is confirmed. All they would say now is ''talks are still on going''
The only laughing stock here is DF and Palace.

Gartside is having last minute second thoughts after seeing Freedman's record.

Sky Sports understands Ipswich Town have made contact with Dougie Freedman over their managerial role.
Ipswich are looking for a new boss after parting company with Paul Jewell earlier on Wednesday, with the club currently bottom of the Championship table.
Chief executive Simon Clegg has revealed he and owner Marcus Evans began the process of identifying possible successors to outgoing manager Paul Jewell 'a number of weeks' ago, and says there are various candidates in the frame.
It is understood that Freedman has now been contacted about the possibility of replacing Jewell, which would make for a sudden turn of events as he appeared set to join Bolton earlier in the week.
Crystal Palace released a statement on Tuesday saying that their manager had taken charge of the Trotters, with Lennie Lawrence and Curtis Fleming taking the helm temporarily at Selhurst Park.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
However, Bolton revealed after their match against Wolves that talks were still ongoing and the appointment was not yet finalised, leaving Freedman's future uncertain.

Bottom placed ipswich have apparently approached DF to become their new manager, I'm not overly fussed whether we get him or not but still, why do we always do things the hard way?
Can't see him choosing anyone from this division over us..

According to our good friend Marc Iles, the Ipswich story bollocks and the reason it's taking so long for DF to be confirmed is over ''contract issues'' but nothing that will put the deal in doubt.

It's obvious whats happening here! We've had two great games/results under Phillips & co and Gartside knows if he appoints DF this week and we lose at Boro, he'll be Megson II and never win the fans back! So we're gonna wait until monday morning, after the Boro game to officially appoint DF and then he'll have 2 home games to (hopefully) get off to a good start and be an instant Bolton hero!
Contract issues my arse! Very clever Gartside!

Ipswich have a lot of financial clout. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that they could gazump us.
