We should do "on paper".Norpig wrote:We're gonna muller em 6-0
Their fans are almost resigned to relegation, they have no confidence in Dave Artell, and they're even questioning the value of their academy which has produced so many good players over the years.
For us it will be interesting to see how we cope going forward without Fossey. Will we go back to huffing and puffing in the final third unable to play through a packed defence or will Evatt come up with something new?
I fully expect us to win but if Evatt wants us to play like City, then we're going to have to start carrying a ruthless attacking threat like City albeit at our level against League 1/2 quality defenders.

Much as I like Fossey, I don’t get this “we’re going to miss him so much” stuff. We have other players like Sadlier and Xav who can come in and do a good job and in fact I hope that Evatt gives Sadlier a start today because he looks class and more likely to grab a goal than Amaechi. No need to change shape either, I just never get this having to alter system just to account for one player missing. Just slot someone else in and carry on. We should never underestimate anybody but let’s face it, if we slip up in this one we don’t deserve anything. Who knows if that’s the last we’ll see of Marlon? Fulham may decide to keep him, we may not be able to offer enough to buy him and clubs further up the chain may have been alerted to him? He may even go to the USA? I’m also not sure we should sign him permanently with his injury record. We’ve been there before with players and it doesn’t work and you’d have to ask why at 23 and with the obvious ability he’s got, why he hasn’t already succeeded? Obviously it’s the injury problem so maybe this is a warning and we should look to invest what little we have elsewhere. It’s a shame but we have to be realistic if we want promotion next year. 0-3 to Wanderers today.

Just the sort of game we regularly manage to lose.
1-0 to Crewe.

First half was one of the worst games of footy this season - both sides complete rubbish.
Second half was just a tad better and we just about deserved the one goal. Taking the three points but not very happy with the overall display.
Technically we are still in the hunt - that's about all you can say.

What a load of absolute crap. Didn't bother with the second half, 45 minutes of that rubbish was enough for me.
Anyone who thinks we are "one or two players" away from a promotion challenge next season is dreaming.
The football currently on offer is no better than the turgid crap served up under Parky.

That three points certainly didn't make up for losing my watch today. Glad I only listened on radio.

Fook me, what sort of bellend invades the pitch after a narrow victory against bottom of the league that cements us in mid-table?
Hull it definitely wasn't.
Embarrassing.

OK it was a shit bobbly pitch and a very windy day but that first half was appalling by any standards. For a so called passing team I was horrified to see that at HT our pass completion was a pathetic 61%
Marginally better in the second half in patches but overall it was a poor, poor performance.
Lucky to get the winner and yes it's 3 points but that performance was worryingly bad.
