Wanderers are heading for their highest season tickets sales since leaving the Premier League.
The club has announced today that more than 10,000 seats have already been sold for the 2022/23 campaign, with two days remaining before the early purchase deadline.
Wanderers took the unusual move of putting their tickets on sale in February to give fans as much time as possible to make their purchase - and the decision appears to have paid off, with last season's total of 10,500 already within sight.
A successful half-season ticket campaign at Christmas eventually topped that number up beyond 11,000 - which stands as the current record - but with time left before the start of next season, a new benchmark looks certain to be set.
Wanderers have averaged 15,061 fans at the University of Bolton Stadium this season and could also set a record average attendance as a third-tier club, with four home games remaining.
An average of 15,194 watched Bolton secure promotion under Phil Parkinson in 2016/17 but with Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday next up, reduced tickets for the family day against Accrington on Easter Monday and a celebratory atmosphere expected against Fleetwood on the last day, the chances of a new record are good.
