With MJ Williams out due to injury and Kyle Dempsey absent from the squad, George Thomason was given a start in midfield.
Thomason has had to be patient for opportunities at times this season but impressed alongside Aaron Morley against the Cod Army.
At just 21 years of age, Thomason has lots of potential and will only continue to get better with playing time.
Perhaps he is one of the players who will benefit most from the introduction of a ‘B’ team next season.
