Just had a message from KP's wife on Twitter, she said he's been in Hospital in Bangkok after he collapsed last week. He's been in ICU for 5 days and is now back on a normal ward but will need to stay in Hospital for another 3-4 weeks!

If you do manage to log in KP i hope you feel better soon and we all wish you the very best and that you recover quickly.

Thinking of you and your wife as well, get well soon KP!

I've messaged her already to pass on all our best wishes from all of us and that we need him back soon 

She said he has wait 3-4 weeks and when he's well enough then the insurance company will arrange transfer back to the UK.

Omg. I've only just seen this. What a shock. I really hope he's OK and when he sees this I too wish you a speedy full recovery.

I hope his wife is OK too. Must have been hard for her to come on here to let us all know the situation.

If he's in Bumrungrad hospital - which is likely via an insurance company - he'll have some of the best care available on the planet. Absolutely outstanding facility.

No nothing since the first messages from Mrs KP. I'll message back when i get chance.

Hi Everyone, i've been in bits reading all the kind messages you have all left for me.

it was a complete nightmare where i collapsed with undiagnosed high blood pressure resulting in an acute stroke from a bleed on the brain on the morning of the 7th September. I was rushed to Paolo hospital via ambulance to be told that Samitivej hospital would take care of me due to insurance purposes and was shipped off there to be met with the emergency trauma team branding a pcr test and CT scan which showed the bleed on the right side of the brain reducing function down my left side.

The first 24 hours after was a relief as i would have had an operation to reduce the bleed if it didn't start to stop and started to gain more power down my left side and could communicate with good understanding again.

I moved on to a private ward for another week after moving out of ICU with doing the physio twice a day and with the occupational therapist. I now just have some muscle weakness in my left hand.

I got home a couple of days ago and have been back to hospital as an outpatient and done some light exercise which has left me quite tired.

The staff at Samitivej hospital have been fantastic in my treatment and I can't thank them enough.

We are now just waiting on the travel insurance company retrieving the health documents from my local GP surgery then we can fly back to the UK.
