Will Aimson was forced off as Wanderers’ B Team lost 2-0 against Accrington Stanley in the Central League.
The defender was replaced by Eric Yoro just five minutes into the first half at the Eddie Davies Academy.
Jack Nolan opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Nelson Khumbeni conceded an unfortunate own goal in the second half.
The first chance fell to Matt Grivosti, who dragged an effort wide of the post from the edge of the box.
The visitors then had the ball in the net after a dangerous attack, but the goal was chalked off for an offside.
Max Conway again looked lively and nearly set up Lynford Sackey with a low cross after getting to the byline.
Bailey Sloane then sent a header wide of the target after rising well at the far post, before Finlay Lockett was denied by Liam Isherwood from a tight angle.
The visitors started to put the Bolton backline under pressure as the first half went on, with Leslie Adekoya firing over the bar.
And they went in front on the stroke of half time through Nolan’s clinical spot kick after Lamine Toure was judged to have fouled his man in the box.
Accrington continued to look dangerous after the break, with Touray Alhagi getting in behind but losing his footing at the crucial moment.
Nolan also had a chance for a second but sent an effort narrowly wide of Hutchinson’s far post after another quick counter attack.
The Whites were forced into another change when Arran Pettifer replaced Yoro, who limped off the pitch.
Lockett then had Isherwood scrambling to his right after cutting in from the wing, but his effort crept wide after brushing off a defender.
The visitors doubled their lead 17 minutes from time. Calvin Harper’s initial shot was blocked on the line but the ball ended up in the net after an unfortunate deflection off Khumbeni.
Grivosti had an effort cleared off the line in the final stages before Hutchinson denied Gmerich Poilly with his legs.
