Despite extending his unbeaten reign as Bolton boss, Dougie Freedman was disappointed that his side didn’t leave Blackpool with all three points following the 2-2 draw at Bloomfield Road.
“I’m disappointed we didn’t win the game because we were in the lead, but overall a point was probably a fair result.
“Again, we were working to a game-plan over the 90 minutes and we showed intent and purpose to keep on going.
“We were playing against a team who will test your organisation and I think we looked very solid. We weren’t cut open too many times and restricted them to a couple of shots from distance in the first half.
“Going forward we showed a real purpose, but to concede the second goal from a free-kick; that’s not what my teams do. It will take time and work for us to tighten up in that area.
“We are in an intense league which is very demanding and taking that into consideration, today we utilised the squad.
“I’ve been working with the players for two weeks now and they’re beginning to show me that they are responding to how I want to set them out.
“We now have a good run of time without a midweek game and will continue our work.
“Once again, the fans were great. They were vocal, really gave us their support and stuck with the side for the full 90 minutes.”
