Bolton Wanderers are pleased to announce the appointment of digital agency Other Media and streaming service StreamAMG to deliver a new digital experience for supporters.

London-based agency Other Media - a respected and prominent player in the sports digital services field – are already in the development stage of creating a state of the art, bespoke website and app for the Club.

StreamAMG, who now provide video streaming to over 30 Premier League and EFL clubs, will provide the Club’s streaming service under the umbrella of ‘Wanderers TV’.

These new digital services will replace those currently used by Bolton Wanderers, including the EFL Digital website and iFollow BWFC.

The recently announced new EFL domestic broadcast deal with Sky Sports will run from the 2024/25 season and will effectively replace the Club’s live domestic streaming service from that point forward. However, Wanderers’ audio service will remain in place, as will its live audio-visual arrangements for international audiences.

Neil Hart, Chief Executive Office at Bolton Wanderers said: “Following a diligent and thorough tender process, we are thrilled to announce the appointment of Other Media and StreamAMG to oversee this exciting and transformational project for the Club.

“It has been part of our longer-term communications strategy to deliver an enhanced and more interactive experience for all Wanderers supporters and we are very excited that the process is now well underway.

“We have valued the feedback received from fans about club communications via the Supporter Survey 2023 that was launched earlier this year, and many of those comments and ideas have informed this process we now are undertaking.

“We look forward to showcasing the new offering this summer.”

George Crabb, Managing Director at Other Media said: "This is an exciting partnership for us to be working with such an iconic club; a club that continues to have such momentum both on and off the pitch.

“This digital overhaul will revitalise the fan experience for Wanderers fans, with the Club's first official app being a key focus of the project.

“The new website and app will deliver the very best of personalised, on-the-go content and functionality and help the Club better connect with fans and drive sustainable commercial returns."

Hugo Sharman, Chief Executive Officer at StreamAMG said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Bolton Wanderers over the next five years. Their appetite for digital progression closely aligns with how we view the market and we can’t wait to help them achieve great things over the upcoming seasons.”

The idea is for FV to take control of their brand from the EFL, so we would be independent of ifollow, have our own website style and take control of the information of anyone who registers with them to watch Wanderers TV or log into the official website.

They then will target us with advertisements to buy stuff off them - no doubt the recent Bond scheme would have been featured on Wanderers TV and on the 'new' official website if we were on the new system now rather than next season.

It's all about selling stuff to their customer base - maximising their income.

That's are things are today, you can't blame them for bringing their commercial arm of the business under their control rather than the EFL's but no doubt we will get bombarded with BWFC adverts when they do whether we want them or not!

This kind of language gives me the creeps. No No No

Tbh the whole thing gives me the creeps including the bond thing, the late accounts, the secret shareholdings, the 'love in' with the ST and the persistent trading losses being passed off as sustainable.

And I don't like the 'taking the knee' either and I like 'taking the piss' even less.

And lets not forget that the Wanderers recruitment this year has been the pits and one shot on goal in two matches against mighty Barnsley ain't very good in anybody's language.

Don't forget that if you invest £1,000 in a Bond you will get a Bondholders member's card!!

PLUS a White Bondholder lapel pin and an Exclusive bondholder scarf.

That's amazing, a lapel pin and a scarf.

How are they promising to pay 8.5% each year,  payable on maturity after 5 years?

Sounds like Fantasy Football to me.

If you are exceptionally lucky there's a chance you might get your money back but please don't count on it.
