Wanderers goalkeeper Luke Hutchinson has joined Hyde United on an initial month-long loan.
Hutchinson, who previously had stints at Atherton Colls, Bamber Bridge and Radcliffe, now heads to the Northern Premier League top flight as he continues his development.
The 20-year-old will now play under former Wanderers midfielder Nicky Spooner at Ewen Fields and could feature against Worksop Town on Saturday.
He follows team-mate Max Conway, who also headed out on loan this week to join National League Rochdale.
Hutchinson, a former England youth international, came through the youth ranks at Wanderers and has trained with the first team on several occasions.
He bolsters Hyde’s goalkeeping options following an injury to Ritchie Branagan, who will be out of action for several weeks.
Last summer, Matt Craddock told The Bolton News: “Luke is a fantastic person and a fantastic player.
“What we are trying to develop with him is a bit more leadership qualities, which he has shown a lot more and that is really pleasing.
“We have some really good keepers ahead of him so Luke has to be patient and keep working hard, and that is what he does.
“He has no ego. He comes into work every day and wants to get better, and that is fantastic for him and a real testament to him.”
Wanderers’ strengthened their B Team goalkeeping department with the signing of former Crewe youngster Jack Flint earlier this week.
The young Whites kicked off the new Central League campaign with a 2-0 defeat against an experienced Preston North End side at the Euxton training ground on Tuesday afternoon.
Craddock’s side are scheduled to return to league action on Tuesday, September 12 when they head to Stockport County (2pm). They also have a home fixture against Salford City on Tuesday, September 26 (2pm).
In addition to their Central League commitments, the side will again take part in a programme of hand-picked friendlies against other B Teams and Academies over the coming season.
