Nick Hewer

I'm not a regular Countdown viewer, but I see it enough to know he's too dour to be presenting it. In fact, I don't know anyone that doesn't think he does a crap job. Even Rachel Riley supposedly isn't a fan.

I'm 32 with a job, why would I be watching Countdown?

I will add he's a top bloke on 'The Apprentice'.

I've never been a regular viewer of Countdown, but I have watched the occasional episode when my Grans been visiting. Last time I actually watched it, Jimmy Carr was presenting it!

I saw a few episodes of Jeff Stelling presenting it (about a year ago?). He seemed to be doing a good job of it.

Jeff Stelling was too upbeat for the old people watching it, hence why they now have Nick Hewer.

Actually Jeff Stelling left as he signed a "hand-cuff" contract with Sky Sports meaning that he is not able to work for any other broadcaster. Jeff has said that he would have liked to have continued.

Nick Hewer is a steady, if boring, pair of hands.

I'm crap at Countdown but I reckon I could fit my pint on Rachel's bum ridge whilst having a rummage in all the nooks and crannies.

Bad Education was very funny. One or two scenes were as funny as anything I've seen on TV. But yes, most stuff on BBC3 is utter guff.
