Back to the thread watched an interesting prog on the Hollies on Sky Arts last night, dicky bows and all.

Brilliant harmonisers were the Hollies. I see, ' He aint heavy' is being released for Xmas.

It goes into the difference in musical direction they tried to take and ultimately the departure of Nash. He wrote the first big song for CSN, Marrakesh Express, when with the Hollies. The Hollies were never the force after he left with exception of He Ain't Heavy. 6 months after leaving Nash was playing Woodstock with Crosby and Stills and my fave composer Nelly Jung.
