Not sure I ever saw him play a full 90 minutes.Norpig wrote:
Did you actually see him play? Saw him a few times and did exactly the same as Santos - standing on the ball and slowing the whole game down but actually worse than Rico.

I’m basing this on 40 minutes against Cambridge. I thought he looked very composed.
That should be enough to judge a player for league one IMO.

Is it Santos that needs to go or the policy of using him as a playmaker? In any case, he is too slow, easily by-passed, doesn't read the game well, has very limited passing-range, can't dribble, overly casual, is no threat in the opposition box. Apart from that, he's just what we need for launching high balls towards our comparatively short strikers.....
Evatt has achieved miracles since he came to the club, but he's completely wrong about Santos' value. Championship-level strikers would have run him ragged.

I don’t think Santos is used as a playmaker he’s just there to pass sideways or into Sheehan.
I guess technically that’s making play but it’s not like he’s Cesc Fabregas.
Clearly he’s done ok this season just moving the ball along that’s all he needs to do.
Too many cock ups defensively is what has cost him in the last few weeks.

Still looking a bit short in some areas, we definitely need a LB/LWB and cover for RWB unless Matheson can step up.
