Cant agree more. Things are finally looking slightly more promising. Nowets hope knight gets replaced by dawson and wheater comes back soon

I agree that this has been a decent transfer window.

But I will be quite livid if it's the usual suspects at Watford on Saturday.

You know it's going to happen.

Ha ha, I know.

I can see a subs bench of Holden, Vela, Craig Davies, Medo, De Rigger, Lonergan, Sordell

I'm quite glad in a way that Afobe has gone as fingers crossed Sordell will be more of a regular player at the very least and not just a bench warmer as per usual.

I have been watching Sky Sports for most of the evening and have helped myself to a small libation. I have to say that after the last couple of years I cannot remember the last time I was so pleased at our exploits in the transfer market.

What particularly impresses me, is the fact that Dougie hasn't courted the press and talked absolute shoite about who we are interested in ..etc etc.

Most of the deals were never on the radar and that is really how it should be. A credit to the management for working behind the scenes to turn things round without teasing us with hyperbole bullshit.

Fair play to Dougie and Lennie and PG for giving us something to be hopeful about. I haven't felt like this since Big Sam departed.

Sierra Leone international signs for Wanderers on a three-and-a-half year deal

Wanderers have added midfielder Mohamed Kamara to their ranks after agreeing a deal with 26-time Serbian champions Partizan Belgrade, subject to international clearance.

The Sierra Leone international, commonly known as Medo, joins for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-and-a-half year contract.

Medo, aged 25, had enjoyed a successful spell with Partizan, winning back-to-back league titles and a Serbian Cup whilst playing five games in the group stages of the 2011/12 Champions League.

Prior to his stint in Belgrade, Medo represented Finnish sides Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi (HJK) and Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS), winning one league title and two domestic cups over a four-year period. He also holds a Finnish citizenship.

Dougie Freedman said: “I’ve known about Medo for a while now. Aki Riihilahti, who is a good friend of mine from when we were Crystal Palace, played with him in Finland.

“I’ve seen a lot of him and never really thought I’d have any chance of working with him. From Finland he went over to Partizan Belgrade and has certainly become a better player over the last three or four years.

“It’s the right deal for the club. He has the heart of a lion, the hunger, the desire and the right mind-set – he wants to come here and do well and I look forward to working with him.”

Impressed by the way the club has conducted itself. Low overall spend, players with promise and assets retained. Excellent job.

Marginally in favour of the "assets retained" bit overall.

I haven't heard a peep out of the chicken farmers over at Blackburn. Are they not bothering with this window?

Maybe, just maybe we could reach the play offs. I know it's a long stretch but if we can string some good runs together and get points from those above us then why not?

What do you guys think? Am I getting a bit too excited? lol

I'm in the believe it when I see it camp.

What has Burnden Aces got to do with the transfer window?

Boggers posted a link to a news story on that site claiming we'd officially signed Medo.

Just to clear things up a bit about Burnden Aces.

Burnden Aces (BA) is just another forum like ours BUT unlike us the owner is in it to make money for himself - this is done by having advertisements and attracting sponsors.

He therefore needs to have people visiting the site and posting - so as that in turn brings other people in to read and hopefully click on the adverts and earn him more money.

What the owner does is to 'capture' information from other sources - and that probably includes this site as well - and rewrites it and passes it off as his 'news story' and 'advertises' it via news collating sites, such as 'newsnow' or 'aggrobot', to attract people to his forum (and hopefully get them clicking the adverts!).

For instance only the club can officially say if we've signed someone or not - and in this instance BA's owner has quickly used the official notification to do his 'story'.

It's obviously a free world and people can go and look on any site they want for news on the club but I can guarantee you that very few news stories (if any at all!) will be original source ones on Burnden Aces.

If you doubt me check out any future 'news' story's from BA, then look at other sources such as the clubs official news, or the Bolton News site, etc and you will always find that someone else as 'broke' the news before they have.

In short the owner of BA is out to make money from his readers (otherwise he wouldn't bother rewriting something that is as already broken already and simply post the source link as we do on here).

We may be many things on here but one thing we are not is trying to 'play you' to simply make money for ourselves!
