Count the Everton game. I was banking on us sticking 3 past Peterborough, so they'd better get the lead out next week.

Think it should be left as it is... once you make the rules they should stand.
Who's to say that there wont be any more postponements.
After all the Competition was about league goals.

Thing is though - we can't leave things how they stand because there isn't going to be a Peterborough game - at least not until the end of February.
If we left things as they were then all the people who picked the Posh game are in effect disqualified - as we will score the remaining five goals before their match is played - and everybody else loses a game - ie if you thought we would score the key goal in the fourth match - Watford - and went for that - well with the Posh game being ruled out, the Watford game now becomes the third game (after Millwall and Palace).
I think the three options I give above are the fairest to everyone in the sense that everybody will still be included. If we leave things how they stand then everybody who picked the Posh game would then have no chance of winning, as loads more than 5 goals should have been scored by the time that game eventually kicks off.
I think we either -
1 Include the Everton game, or,
2 Wait until the Posh game is played at the end of Feb - include it where it was originally scheduled to be played - then calculate the winner retrospectively, or,
3 Keep the times the same but push back the name of the team by one match (ie not include the Posh / Everton game - and those who said x minutes for the Posh game - be given x minutes for the Watford game instead - and so on).
If any other game is postponed then I think we will have to do something similar to what we eventually agree to do here.
I think that is the fairest unless someone can come up with something better?

In that case i'd go for option 2... and include the Posh game when it's played.
But just supposing somebody had taken into account that we might beat Sunderland and therefore realised the Posh game wouldn't be played on the said date, so went for one of the later games.
Go with 2 i've more chance of winning

That is probably the 'truest' of all the options - but it sort of puts a damp squib on our competition - not knowing whose won for two months and several games after the winning goal was actually scored!
As for counting the Everton game - in theory it should be harder to score goals against Everton than Posh but in reality that may not be the case.
It could be the Everton puts out a weaker side on the day and it also could be that Freedman actually plays goal scorers such as Sordell and Craig Davies!
Perhaps the most practical thing to do is keep the same times but change the team name by one - so the Posh game now becomes the Watford game and so on.
I'm happy to see what people think before making the decision though.

Either wait for the Posh game and then add on the goals from there. In a way it could be exciting with everybody already knowing the goals from the other games they will know how many they need vs Peterborough for their guess to be correct.
Or start again.
Or, ignore the Everton game and move everybody's predictions along by one game. ie anyone who guessed posh 78 would become Watford 78 and so on.

Damn you Bolton Wanderers for messing up the competition with your unexpected victories!
I agree with Biggie, I think it's easier to move everyones prediction along one game. So if you predicted the goal would come in the Peterborough game, you now have the Watford game.

We currently have 40 goals, needing another 5. With how we are playing. goal scoring wise at the moment in the league we may still get our 45th goal against P'boro anyway.
I'm happy to go with moving the predictions along one game but will gladly go with the majority vote.

It has been decided that, due to the postponement of the Peterborough game, every prediction will be moved along to the next game. So if you predicted the 45th goal would happen in the Peterborough game, your prediction is now the Watford game. Similarly, if your prediction was the Burnley game, it's now the Forest game. And so on.

I'd like to change it.

Does that mean that all those who chose the Watford game are now out of the competition? If so, that's 16 gone in one fell swoop.
