..or "suicidal substitution" for that matter.

It's a waste of anyone's time listening to Owen Coyle interviews.

I don't actually think being relegated will stop Coyle's relentless optimism. If we fail to beat Wigan and get nothing out of the Chelsea and Man City games he will still be optimistic about our chances of avoiding relegation. Once we are mathematically down he will be optimistic about us bouncing back.

Well obviously, what do you want him to say. That we're fcuked and going bankrupt and he wants to kill himself?

His relentless optimism suggests a lack of reality. It led to yesterday's substitution which most fans think was a mistake. I like Coyle as a person - I'm just not sure he is the man to stop us being relegated.

I don't agree, but fair point.
