60's for me.

Young free and single, great music, saw some great games at Burnden, with big crowds, also England won the World Cup.

80's followed by the 60's

Both decades had an ecletic mix of music trends.

Television was great in both decades with fantastic British programmes being made and sold around the world, and childrens television were at its best.

Style - very of their decades but mixed with a bit of each other, unlike punk/disco 70's and the grunge 90's.

Yes both deaces had some sort of flipside but the good outshone the bad.

90's for me. Looking back it was a wonderful time where kids could play out till late at night and your parents didn't worry to much, you could leave your front door open and no one tried to steal it, there was no crime and teenagers were polite, helpful and respectful to everyone.

In the 90's ? You must have been living in a time warp! Shocked

Sixties and seventies for me! No fcuking mobile phones mithering folk to death. You felt posh if you had a teasmaid!

You could get a couple of pints and a packet of fags and still have change from £1.

My first wage in 78 was £45 per week but with evening overtime plus Saturday morning I used to come out with £65 after tax. Back then it was decent money because bin men were only on £45 a week.

I wasn't born in the 60's or 70's and in the 80's I was 8 at the end of it. It's all about how old you were in a specific decade, I was a teenager in the 90's and it was great for me.

Fair enough. There was plenty of crime in the nineties though, but probably not so much in Westhoughton.

I should say i didn't live in the 60's i was born in the 80's i just meant if i had to pick I'd love to go back to the 60's, America. The birth of the teenager, the culture, the music, the changing attitudes, the space race, cold war, vietnam, the fashion, the cars, the birth of new technology.

everything is taken for granted now, it'd have been nice to be there at a real moment of change.

Aye, 60's america is an era I would love to have been a part of.

Though I was born in 89 a part of me has always felt I should have been born about 15-20 years earlier.

The sixties were pretty good indeed - imagine the people in the sixties who longed for "the good old days" though!

My Dad had a Ford Cortina - good old AR 710. I'd add Raquel Welch to Angry Dad's list though.
