Owen Coyle on Burnley, Bolton and turning down Celtic

Just about to listen to it, will let you know my thoughts after.

Even though it's Talksport and I hate listening to that station, I'll give it a listen. I bet Owen's going to be the best manager he's ever been!

To an outsider, his record is:

*Took Burnley up against the odds, left halfway through Premier League season, 14th in the league.
*Took over Bolton in 18th. Finished the season 14th. Finished second season 14th, reached FA Cup Semi Final, spent most the season in the top 6. Relegated by single point in the third season. Sacked after poor start to fourth season.

Most fans on forums of clubs where there's been a vacancy this season have found the prospect of taking him on far from abhorrent. He's a crap manager, but only we know just how crap. The nature of the industry tells me there's a good job just round the corner for him, sadly.

I bet he waits for his gardening leave to finish before taking that job (ala Megson!)

Nothing new in that interview, other than the fact Mr God fearing teetotal bought Alex Ferguson two bottles of red wine...

I thought he came accross as a nice guy, shite manager though.

He can't be that bad, he got burnley promoted.

Was a load of bollocks interview, what a waste of 35 minutes. Was good of him to wait for his promotion bonus with the inbreds.

I think he'd flop in the premiership. If we don't go up then i'd probably take Austin.

Looks like he had a date but he/she didn't turn up.

We need Burnley to turn Hull over tonight. If they can win they go to 51 points, just 3 behind us and Hull will then stay on 65.
