If Wigan end up in Europe, no one will ever be bothered about Europe (well, the Uefa Cup/Europa League) again. Wigan Athletic v Maribor in an empty stadium isn't going to make it seem a more attractive competition.

Not convinced we're good enough to get into the playoffs ATM. We need a considerable improvement in performances and a slice of luck before promotion is even an option.
