We are lucky in Bolton that we have two fine breweries, Blackburn have one, anybody got any preferences to the brews on offer. I must admit that Dunscar Bridge ale always tastes smoother than Bank Top, but anything is better than the keg shite!

I always head for the Bank Top at the Pendle Beer Festival in Colne.
The Flat Cap and Gold Digger are great.

Definitely Bank Top - brewed in the old Bank Top tennis club (opposite Tony Knowles old gaff - does he still live there?) on Ashworth Lane.

Tony honed his snooker skills at Tonge Ward Conny Club where his dad was the Steward but that's by the by. More to the point, what sot of AVB are we talking about?

Nowhere near where Tony Knowles learned his snooker(Bank Top)
RT Port O Call is about 5%, it's a dark mild with a shot of port in, very popular, specially with the Mrs but not my bag.
Dunscar Bridge do a Lofthouse and Lion of Vienna, no need to say anymore, and as previously stated Bank Top do Gold Digger and Flat Cap around 4.2, and Old Slapper which is one of my favourites.
Dunscar Bridge do a very more ish Bombay IPA about 3.7. Three of us shifted a 72 pint barrel over the New Year period of that brew.

There's a brewery in Dunscar Bridge? Is it where they've redeveloped that old stone factory and called it an industrial estate on the left next to the lodge as you go towards town from Egerton/Dunscar War Memorial?
Caught a big pike in Dunscar Lodge when I was 10 and sold it on Bolton Fish market for 1s/3d.

Wanted to try ale for a while. Always been put off for a few reasons...
Its flat.
Its warm.
it takes forever to pour a pint
And im under 30.
I should really try it if im honest, I dnt like larger, I like scotch, decent cider, wine (chablis or a nice full bodied red) guinness and gin and tonic with loads of fresh lime...
Im old before my time really...

That says to me that you are very much a mass produced yellow fizz drinker and the rest of your post is made up.
