Yes, I know, its do with buses but it has a darker side shwoing that insurance companies can break companies - thus creating more unemployment, more "scroungers" for the plebs to laugh at!!!!
This is what was posted on a forum I go on....
Maytree Travel LTD
I regret to inform you that following the recent acquisition of Maytree Travel
by MCT, it has come to light that the current insurers for Maytree are not
prepared to continue providing insurance cover for claims arising out of
accident.
I have, and am continuing to seek to find alternative insurance and in the
interim, have been given a 7 day extension on the insurance cover by the current
insurers for Maytree Travel, (which was due to expire on midnight on saturday 30
march 2013.) Given the difficulties however the company is in the process of
considering the appointment of insolvency practitioners.
Whilst we do everingthing possible to ensure that the business continues, we
must emphasise that in the event that is not possible, then the business may
well ceasse trading as on midnight on 6th Aprill 2013 and as a result, from that
date your employment may be terminated by reason of redundancy.
This, although could very well be bad news, shows the power what an insurance company has over law-abiding service-providing companies. So another example of "we are all in it together" between the haves and have-nots!
