I think most of the rhetoric emanating from North Korea is mainly bluster. South Korea is heavily defended by the USA and Japan can look after itself.
If North Korea misguidedly launch a strike against the South then it will be curtains for them. China and Russia will simply sit back and watch the drama unfold.

It's incredible how naive the Americans are.
I have to say that if the Americans invaded my country, killed my friends and relatives and tried to tell me what to think and how to behave I'd become a "terrorist" at the drop of a hat. Last lot that tried that caper was the German Nazis and they were resisted successfully.
I feel terribly sad for the victims and their families, but surely they should have expected it and a lot worse seeing as they march into every country that doesn't want to change it's culture, religion or politics to Americanism?
Didn't you expect there to be far more terrorist incidents in the USA than there have been?
This is one of the problems when America see themselves as the super power responsible for policing the world. Not every country agrees with American foreign policy. Cultural divides are spread over hundreds of years and military might is never the perfect solution.
That's right RT. Like you, I'm just being objective about it. I'm not saying anything about the right or wrong of it, but pointing out that I'm surprised that there haven't been far more attacks on American soil then there have been. And over here for that matter.
Either "Homeland Security" is on the top of their game, or something is amiss. Either way, you'd expect them to be geared up for attacks. One small bomb 3 hours after the winners had crossed the finishing line and most spectators had already gone home sounds more like a PR stunt to boost support for the military budget.
Tragic I know, but minimal compared to what a group of terrorists with a plan and mission could have achieved - like poisoning the water supply in the remote unprotected reservoirs out of town or hitting one of the many nuclear power plants in the area.

It's clear where your sympathies lie so take your conspiracy bullshut and fook off.
Disgraceful post. I can't believe the mods haven't stepped in.

Yes it's disgraceful that you state a possible scenario!

It would be naive not to consider the scenario wanderlust has said.
Im not saying I think that's what happened but you can't rule anything out at the moment.

I do like a good conspiracy theory, especially where the facts indicate there's a possibility it could be true. Only goes to prove how little we really know I guess.
On another note, you've moved from ignoring my posts to pointedly disagreeing with everything I write recently Nat. I'm sure it's purely coincidental that this started when I suggested you are a loser - for which I apologise. It was uncalled for and rest assured I will punish myself for being so inconsiderate towards your feelings. You are obviously a sensitive person and I should have considered that before making the comment.

What I find odd about this particular atrocity is that nobody has come forward to claim responsibility. The NRA are rolling up their sleeves for a showdown with Obama regarding stricter controls on the possession of firearms.
According to one expert on the news the actual explosives were quite crude as opposed to sophisticated pipe bombs.
I think it best to keep an open mind until more information comes to light. CCTV footage will probably hold the key to any breakthrough.

Yeah lots of people with guns could have prevented it.
the NRA are a bunch of complete morons.
Reports suggest it was a "pressure cooker" bomb (whatever that is) in a bag loaded with ball bearings.

A pressure cooker bomb is what it says. Filled with TNT or similar explosive it is detonated with a watch or timer. It's been used more common now apparently because security overlooks kitchen implements, daft I know. Apparently the perpetrators filled them with nails and various other sharp objects to cause maximum havoc.
I read a comment by an American who said the fact that nobody has claimed responsibility would lead to suspect an inside job ie. not "foreigners".

With the amount of coverage in that area you have to believe they are hot on the trail of someone.

Wanderlust says the US government did it, how can they be hot on the trail of themselves?

In America you have Homeland Security, the FBI, the CIA and a myriad of other agencies all vying to be the elite security service. They have so many fragmented agencies that don't talk to one another and share information but they all get sizeable budgets from Congress.
The NRA certainly have some serious financial clout as well.

They found Oswald after about 5 minutes even though he was innocent.
How come they haven't found this person yet?

Hipster, thats exactly why they found him cos he may have been innocent. Can't remember too much about that incident 40 odd years ago apart from the fact that it appeared to be an inside job when JFK got topped.
Just had a re read of the assaination, it's a bit iffy to say the least.

Strangely enough, Oswald protested his innocence but never made it to trial. He was assassinated by nightclub owner, Jack Ruby, who was convicted of Oswald's murder..
Ruby appealed against his conviction and was granted a retrial but developed lung cancer and died before the new trial date.

I'm firmly in the camp of Oswald didn't do it/was a scapegoat.
It's been proven no one could have shot anyone from where he supposedly was.
even navy seal sharpshooters can't do it, Oswald was a "sharpshooter" designate in the army but his weapon would have limited him.
and don't forget they changed the weapon in statements after it was found.
