Brentford

Did anyone hear about the end of their game? They played Doncaster today at home, Brentford would be promoted with a win, Doncaster needed a win or a draw to be promoted. Doncaster needed a win to win the league.
In injury time at the end of the game Brentford got a penalty, a penalty to be promoted, but the taker hit the bar and the ball bounced to a Doncaster player and they scored on the breakaway to win the league.

Every credit to Brentford manager Uwe Rosler for not trotting out the usual excuses. He firmly blamed penalty taker Marcello Trotta as he wasn't the designated penalty taker.

Trotta clearly thought he could make a name for himself, and he clearly did.

More players should get the blame.

The pk taker will be having nightmares about that miss.

I watched it last night and I don't think anyone could have predicted the ending. I think Brentford will probably win the play off against Swindon and play Sheffield United at Wembley.

You really do wonder what goes through some chairmen's heads.

I think that article has been made to look like Doncaster are cunts, I don't think Flynn was ever going to stay there on a long term basis from what I have picked up over the past few months.

However Paul Dickov?....Seriously he would take them straight back down IMO.

Brentford v Yeovil


I've never been to Yeovil, so come on Yeovil.

I can live with one trip down the M5 per season, hoping for Sheffield United but they blew it.

Sheff Utd must be the most unluckiest team in the play offs.

It's 5 or 6 times that they've failed in them.

I've been to Yeovil once.

Think we won 2-0. Pedersen and Cesar iirc.

It's a fucking long drive.

We have enough London teams in the 1st and 2nd tiers though, so come on Yeovil!

I 'd rather Brentford win it tbh. Rosler has done a stirling job at Griffin Park and they were unlucky against Doncaster rovers in their last game of the season.
