Anyone who has watched Bolton over the last 4 or 5 years will be well aware that we haven't had a single player capable of passing the ball consistently well. Be honest, when was the last time a Bolton midfielder opened up the opposition's defence with a clever pass?

So who was the best passer of a ball ever to wear a white shirt?

Tony Kelly was pretty good, albeit at a lower level. Campo had his moments but for ever good pass there were five crap ones.

My nomination goes to Claus Jensen, he rarely gave the ball away and was always opening up the opposition.

Passing stats are stupid. Muamba probably had one of the all time completion rates - but he never passed the ball forward.

i'd forgotten about Jensen, he was a very tidy player, nothing too fancy but a good player nonetheless. Same goes for Frandsen as well.

i used to enjoy watching Zico sit in the centre circle and make Mcateer do all the running for him!

Scott Sellars. Great passer, almost never gave it away and chipped in with a few goals as well. Enjoyed watching him play. Per Frandsen close second.
