Q: Will we expect to see any of the development squad challenging for a first team role?
A: I like working with young players and that is of course my intent.
Q: You have recently added sports science back into BWFC did you have the luxury of this at crystal palace?
A: Yes, we did have some of the sports science at Palace, but it's very much my thinking to add more to what we've got here at Bolton.
Q: Should we expect a lot of business in the loan market after the success of last season’s loanees?
A: Firstly, I want to promote our young players and give them chances, but if someone comes up in the market then we'll look at loans. The problem with loans is they're never quite your own asset to trade with at the end of the season.
Q: When did you decide that management was for you?
A: I didn't decide that management was for me, management decided I was for it.
Q: What motivates you as a manager besides success? P.S. You have worked wonders here and I thank you…
A: Seeing players develop on a daily basis in front of your own eyes is one of the best feelings. That really motivates me.
Q: Have you got any more transfer/loan targets in mind?
A: Yes, we're always looking for ways to improve our squad and we are hard at work at it as we tweet!
Q: Since arriving at Bolton what has impressed you most about the club?
A: The infrastructure at the club is second to none. It makes my life a lot easier so all I need to do is concentrate on coaching.
Q: Regarding David Ngog, what is the current situation with him and Bourdeaux?
A: You're always going to get speculation around good players. I'm very comfortable dealing with it. He is staying.
Q: Are you happy that Crystal Palace have been promoted?
A: Very. There was a lot of hard work to get the club out of administration. The staff there deserve everything that comes their way.
Q: What has been your proudest moment whilst manager of Bolton Wanderers?
A: This may sound strange, but the game away at Leicester. Although we lost, the fighting spirit the lads showed made me very proud.
Q: How intense will the pre-season training be to make sure the players are ready?
A: I like to think that the players will be working at an intensity that will not only improve their fitness, but tactical awareness.
Q: How valuable has Lennie Lawrence's experience been in your career as a manager so far?
A: I think it's very important to surround yourself with a team of staff who bring different things to the table.
Q: Will we see more of Tom eaves this season?
A: I certainly hope so. Tom has got a fantastic attitude towards training which helps him no ends. Let's see what next year brings.
Q: How is Stuart Holden getting on? Will he be ready for the start of the new season?
A: We have agreed to let Stu play in the Gold Cup during pre-season. It will benefit him playing internationally physically and mentally.
Q: What do you have in mind for the younger players at BWFC? Will the likes of Lester and Clough be given game time?
A: My message to any young player is simple. If they show the right qualities in training they will be given the opportunity to play.
Q: Do you prefer to do your transfer business early on or wait for a deal on deadline day?
A: A bit of both really. We have snapped up a couple of free transfers in June and we'll be looking to strengthen furthermore in July.
