I like the abuse when an argument over a controversial thread or post gets heated - I can't believe anyone doesn't enjoy reading threads when two people are passionate about opposing arguments.

They tend to go on for 20 posts or more slagging each other off which has f*** all to do with the topic under discussion. Having an abuse thread would give them a "let's take this outside" option - which would save the rest of us having to read through their ego trips.
Plus there would be a special place where you can indulge your pleasure reading nothing but abusive diatribes.

I agree with Wanderlust and Norpig. Sometimes the abuse can go too far and detracts from the subject topic. Plus, new posters may be wary of dipping their toe in the water for fear of being abused.
