Our reserves came from 2 goals down to get a good draw with a rather experienced Everton reserve side this afternoon.
Having been outplayed by the Toffees in the opening 45, with the likes of Jack Rodwell and Leon Osman helping build a two goal lead, John Henry rang the changes at the break and saw his side come out all guns blazing after the restart.
The highlight of a much improved second half showing was substitute Liam Irwin's stunning 30 yard free-kick that looped up and over the wall and into the net of the experienced Marcus Hahnemann.
And late on Joe Riley netted a dramatic equaliser with a cool left-foot finish following a slaloming run down the right flank, after Everton striker Joao Silva had seen red for an apparent elbow on Tom Eckersley.
