Joe Riley is out for at least 9 months with same injury as Mark Davies. Can't see this guy making it tbh, after such a promising start.

FFS! What is going on? I had great hopes for Riley making it this season.

Gutted for the lad, can't honestly see him ever making it at the club now sadly, way too many injuries.

He looked a good prospect that game when we beat Stoke 5-0 at the Reebok.

I agree ...this lad looked promising but I'm afraid he is injury prone. Another salary in the medical room. We should probably make a cut ...... shame for Riley and us.

Is there anyway we can blame DF for this?
PM me if you think of one.

Riley is still under contract until the summer of 2015, so I haven't written him off completely yet and he's still only 21.
It won't be easy for the kid though, especially with Baptiste and White now ahead of him in the pecking order for our right back spot.
It's amazing that since his debut, at home to Stoke he's played a total of 3 games for us.

Such a shame. I really hope he can put the injuries behind him when he returns, but I have a feeling we've seen the last of him in a Bolton shirt. Hope I'm wrong obviously, as he's a talented player.

isn't it stange that JOB never seems to be injured for West Ham? maybe we should have kept him but hindsight is a wonderful thing as most people thought he was finished as a top flight player

JOB no longer seems to carry long term injury as he has been lucky or maybe the surgery he had whilst with us has been successful.

Just watching Sky Sports News and it said Riley damaged his cruciate ligaments and is out for 3 months.

Never known cruciate damage to clear up in 3 months. More like 10 months at best!

Depends if he's damaged it or completely snapped it. If it's only damage 3 months is about right, hopefully SSN have it right.

I can't see SSN being right on this one, Joe himself even put on twitter last night that he will be joining Mark davies in the treatment room for roughly the same time.
If the reporters at sky had even bothered looking at the bolton news they might have more accurate info.

Sky is full of bollocks! Apparently, Riley has a ruptured cruciate ligament and cartilage injury, so he's got very little chance of making an appearance in a few months. We might as well right this season off for him.

Started squats and bike last week - hopefully on his way back
