Ivan Klasnic, what a clever player he was, one of the best in Europe in the box and Coyle would rather Ngog ?

His finishing was tremendous , very accurate .

With Klasnic you always knew a half chance would turn into a goal.

With our current lot every three full chances turns into a goal.

Good player and finisher. His problem was his stamina - hardly surpising after his major surgeries

Terrible footballer.

Good riddance.

Fans are just blinded by good finshers. If you can convert chances, people ignore what you can't do, the list of which in Klasnic's case being endless.
He was like a baby elephant in every way thinkable. Good (albeit irregular) at finishing what little chances were created, but ultimately culpable for us not creating enough.
He was too often isolated up there, and mainly had himself to blame.

Judging by his original wage demands (£65,000 reportedly?), I'd imagine he was another Megson/Coyle masterclass in terms of finding value for money, and basically the sort of signing that got us in our current mess.

I used to well like Bob Taylor.

Klasnic scored goals, not even Doffcocker can deny that. On the downside, if he didn't score he did very little else.

Personally I'd always pick a goalscorer above a worker like Elmander or Ngog.

Put it this way, how many games has Klasnic won us and how many has Ngog won us?

He wasn't a reliable goalscorer. Everybody thought he was the missing piece of the jigsaw. What happened when he got his chance? He went eight starts without a goal from open play.

Rubbish player.

He was a good impact sub but lacked the fitness to make an impact from the start of games.

His finishing was tremendous , End of .

I like finishers, I'd bring him back tomorrow , he's a match winner .

He could coach our strikers on how to find the net from 10 yards out.

Cracking finisher, probably one of best we have had, shame he couldn't keep his fitness levels up.

He's a player I loved being brought on for the last 20 minutes if we were drawing/losing and needed to nick a goal, you just knew if it fell to his left foot inside the box 9 times out of 10 their would be one outcome.

Did he even start 8 games? That Forlan guy scored less for United when he was there - I guess he was rubbish too.

Quality player, just not suited to our team or the premier league. Had a very continental style in my eyes. Definitely had more about his game earlier in his career, his best spell was at Bremen with Ailton they had a great record together with Klasnic supplying a fair portion of his goals.

Good example of another player not suited to the premier league.

He scored 20 goals for Bolton from 35 starts.

Slag him off all you want doffcocker, but if we had a couple of strikers who could do that this season we'd have promotion sorted by February.

Doffcocker knows nothing about football, or a WUM - you decide .

He could be a WUM, but I have met the odd Bolton fan who would rather have a striker who doesn't score (Ngog, Elmander etc) over one who does (Anelka, McGinlay etc).

Mental.

I'd rather have strikers that score goals like Berbatov, Klasnic, Owen, Phillips than hard workers like Ngog, SKD , who don't score enough. Let the midfielders do all the work in running after the ball.

Mental.
