Nathaniel Chabaloah? Sam Hutchinson? Nathan Ake? Josh McEachran?

Are non of these good enough for our Douglas? They could certainly fill some gaps.

Can somebody provide us proof that any such agreement was ever made?

It was common knowledge, Dougie has even talked about but he said that none of the players which we're available for loan at Chelsea were good enough for Bolton.

That's funny - should be in the Jokes thread. Can somebody tell me any player on Bolton's books who is good enough to play for Chelsea (or even Chelsea reserves)?

When was this supposed agreement sorted out?

Jacob Mellis who signed for Barnsley last summer after a loan period is a good un and good enough for Bolton.

He's good enough for Burnley not Bolton.

When Cahill signed for Chelsea there was a clause in the contract which stated that Bolton would be allowed to have a Chelsea player on loan. Nor Coyle or Freedman has yet used this option yet.

Mellis was probably already on loan at Barnsley at that time then.

You have loaned a couple of our players in the past - Sturridge (did bolton really have him - he is superb) and Kakuta. To be honest I think the agreement would only have been whilst you were in the premiership. I don't think loaning players to the championship is a good move. Look at josh mcecheran - he went to boro last season and they were shit, it didn't do his reputation any good.

No more loans please. Every resource and opportunity we have should go to our players and our squad.

If a loan is going to make us better you have to look at it.

Sadly thats life in the champo, especially with severe fan pressure for us to be promoted automatically.

Dougie can't find one player from Cheslea who could help us?

Loans might be our only way of increasing the numbers in the squad if we can't offload any of our current out-of-favour players.

This loan thing is clearly a load of bollocks. There may be an agreement but it'll be for their academy players or other youngsters with no proven ability.

If we were entitled to a Chelsea reserve I don't doubt even Freedman would have been on the blower. After all, he can never have too many bench warmers.

I'd rather work towards a long term solution than pay through the nose for a short term fix.
