Titus Bramble - Worth a Punt?

Everyone agrees our defence is a shambles so why not go out and sign one of the biggest bargains in football history.

Titus Bramble is without a club after being released by Sunderland at the end of last season.

He said in a statement "I just want to play football again, money and contracts are irrelevant"

He is a proven Premier League player, would cost nothing, and seems keen to play for peanuts. Wouldn't that be a novelty, having a player who actually wanted to play football.

Could he form a rock solid partnership with Zat Knight?

 

I know he makes the odd mistake, but he kept getting picked in the PL every week - he must have some good qualities.

Tbh he's probably better than any centre back we have right now which says a lot really.

Ok, so Bramble has made some bad mistakes, but probably only a couple a season. For the other 36 games per season he's been good enough to hold down a place in a mid-table Premier League side.

This Baird fellow has probably made a bucketful of mistakes but because he's not a big name or playing for a big club no one gives a shite.

Bramble is as bad as Zat Shite, you know that guy you are always slagging off? You cannot be serious about this, in fact I know you are taking the piss.

If we're gonna bring in Bramble, we have to sign his comedy partner Boumsong too. He's Ngog's cousin incidentally so that would work out nice too.
