No stick with him until the end of September, we have 3 games at home and one away against a suspect Brigthon side.....things may look a bit more rosey come the beginning of October.

Aaron's comment is typical of Bolton fans under Coyle. Give him until the end of the month, give him until Christmas, give him two more games etc etc. In the end the club hung on too long and sacking him changed nothing.
What are more games going to tell us? We already know this is the worst Bolton team in living memory with the least skill and even less passion.
A new manager could come in and make an immediate impact, we could climb to mid-table and the new man could bring in his own players in January and still get us promoted.
If we let Dougie fuck things up until Christmas we'll be relegated by March regardless of whoever comes in.

We're in the shit so how can we possibly even contemplate setting ourselves up for yet another period of disruption? All this chopping and changing will be the end of us.scottjames30 wrote:Does Freedman have to go ?
The case might have some legs if there was money around to smooth the transition and change the personnel, but there isn't.
We've been relegated, we've got a journeyman squad apart from one or two and we have to rebuild, even if it takes 5 years.
So if we lose the next few games the fans need to get real about where we are at and maybe, just maybe they'll quit moaning and get behind the team.
I've had enough of our own "fans" undermining the club. We're shit. Accept it, move on and then get behind the team so we have a better chance.

Not at all - the squad is ultra shite, but with a bit of motivation they could and should be able to knock over the shitter teams.Hipster_Nebula wrote:

No he won't go, I'm fully behind him but if he picks the same under performing players then I may start to get angry.

It doesn't take 5 years to rebuild a team. If we had the long lost creative midfielder and a good CB we would be halfway up the table right now and push on from there.
Doog is just like OC ...he speaks well...says what you want to hear....but his team & tactics don't jive with his banter.

So, people think it takes 5 years to build a team, I wonder how many people would be prepared to keep re-newing their season ticket to watch 5 years of what we are getting now.

Well we've had 7 years of it already so whats another 4 or 5.
It's Bolton not Chelsea.

It will get better - just not as quickly as some fans might like. We can't buy a new team so we have to develop one.waynagain wrote:So, people think it takes 5 years to build a team, I wonder how many people would be prepared to keep re-newing their season ticket to watch 5 years of what we are getting now.
