If you're asked to name an English city beginning with L, surely you can see that the more knowledgeable of people can think of Lichfield, where the best others can do is London.

With most quiz shows, you can only give one answer, and it's either right or wrong. With Pointless there's numerous answers and it's a case of finding the best one.

I have to disagree. So many shitty questions. I hate the early rounds with the board of shitty questions and answers. 
And it winds me up in the final round when he asks "What would you do if you won the money?" - facking ask that at the end if they win. 
I bloody hate that programme.

Now from that lot and from what Mike put up for BBC1 - BBC is definitely more varied that what the commercials could ever give - yes repetas, but that is the same on ALL channels but at least there is a choice of type/style of programming unless teh commercials can give.

PS. You learn something every day because I never knew Lichfield was a city.

Pointless is exactly what it says ... Pointless. It creaks and groans through the programme with inane comments, all for a staggering prize of .. oh, wow, £1000. Cheapskate shite, with a good question every fortnight. Other than that, its not too bad

As you say Glos the prizemoney is piss poor on pointless. Considering you can win up to £250,000 on deal or no deal for asking people to open a bloody box, yet you get through something like 4 rounds on pointless and you can only win something like £1000-£3000 in most cases....somethings not right with that.
