Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!
Is it advisable to watch season 1 of fargo before season 2 or can I jump straight in? Is there anything important I need to know from the first series before I go ahead and watch tonight's episode?

i think the new series is meant to be a prequel of sorts so i would say it doesn't matter to be honest. Watch series 1 when you get a chance it was fantastic. Billy Bob Thornton was amazing in it, his best role ever.

In the absence of an answer I watched it last night anyway and I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed it. The story is a good one and the dialogue is very funny at times. Think I'll stick with this one.

I have just ordered the boxset of Fargo season one. Looking forward to watching it next week. Did anyone watch Fortitude? I'm still not sure whether to get the next series when it comes out.

I enjoyed Fortitude, even if it was a little odd and difficult to follow in places.
Not sure where they can go with the second series but it'll probably be the same as Fargo and True Detective, ie Same name but completely different characters and plots.
Still, it beats X Factor.

Is anyone watching the third series of The Americans? A brilliant and very under-rated show. I am pleased to see that there will be a fourth series.

Not surprised it's like a female Inbetweeners, it was written by and stars the girl that played 1of the girls in the Inbetweeners movie.

Anyone else watch 24 Hours in A&E?
I feel it brings it all home a bit more if you get me.

I try not too. Can be very depressing! The other half loves it though!

i've been watching Rectify all day, i'm enjoying it. Its about a man who is released after 19 years on death row and how he copes with it. Well worth a watch, it's on the AMC channel

I watched Series 1 last week. Brilliant show, and, as you say, Billy Bob was brilliant. You can tell it was the Coen Brothers directing because the Lorne Malvo character reminded me of Anton Chigurh.
I also watched Orange is the new black which is basically about life in a women's prison in America. Quite funny in parts.

That sounds like someone trying to explain Whittam's role on Nuts.
