Both apparently signing for us on loan. McNaughton is mainly a defender from Cardiff and Feeney is a midfielder from Millwall.

Jesus, these players are very ordinary. When you see Birmingham loan a young striker from United who scored 4 goals on his debut for them, you would think Bolton would look at young talent from the Premier League - even Craig Dawson. But this is really delving into the bargain bucket.

Just more dross to add to what he's already brought in but we needn't worry both will be either unfit or injured so we won't see them for a while. How much longer do we have to suffer this cretin?

Call me naive but I think the Yeovil game could be the turning point. If you look at our squad we really should batter Yeovil.

Sadly Nat I don't think that's true. Gartside will give him until at least Christmas especially after letting him bring in a swathe of new loanees. Hard to believe I know but you know Garty and I genuinely believe this is his last stand too. Both have until Christmas I think to turn this around. Highly unlikely to me but you never know, Freedman fluked it last year so watch this space!!

If we don't batter Yeovil then we really do deserve to be in league 1!Reebok Trotter wrote:Call me naive but I think the Yeovil game could be the turning point. If you look at our squad we really should batter Yeovil.

McNaughton is mainly a right back, so I reckon Baptiste is going to be shifted to central defence.
Feeney is being brought in to cover for Eagles, Chungy & Hall and he's on peanuts, so he's as cheap as chips!

McNaughton is a good right back for this league IMO, can't say I know that much about Feeney....would have rather brought in a striker but beggers can't be choosers I suppose.

I don't think he'll get that long. Losing to Yeovil would be the last straw for many.Whitesince63 wrote:Sadly Nat I don't think that's true. If we did lose to Yeovil I can't see anyway back for him, as has been said many times, once most of the fans turn on a manager their is no way back.

Well the fans turned on megson before his first game and he lasted a while.
As for the loans the question is are they first team players for their current club? If no then why are we signing them.
QPR are top of the league loan their players.

Hi, Cardiff fan here. I posted this on another of your forums:
Was a bit surprised to see that we'd loaned McNaughton out to be honest. I still feel he has a part to play in the Premier League with us, he's certainly better than Conolley (our back-up right-back).
McNaughton has good pace, is tenacious in the tackle and seldom gets caught out of position. His weakness, however, is his passing lets him down at times - if it wasn't for this he'd be starting games for us.
McNaughton knows what the Championship is all about and I'm confident he'll do a good job for you.
~ best of luck!
