Bogdan Injured

The bottom line is that yet another player is injured. I can't believe how unlucky we've been with injuries.

I've been told it's summat and nowt and Iles hasn't sed owt.

ADAM Bogdan will miss around six weeks of action for Wanderers after damaging his knee in training on Monday.

The Hungary international has sprained the medial ligament in his left knee after catching his studs awkwardly in the turf at Euxton.

Scans have shown that the he has suffered a partial tear, which normally means a rest period of between six and 10 weeks. It is hoped that if his rehab goes well, that the 26-year-old could be back in contention by early December.

The goalkeeper revealed the injury on his official Facebook page, writing: "I was unlucky because I got injured yesterday during training.

“My collateral knee ligament got torn partially. Fortunately I don't need surgery so I'm to miss 6-10 weeks.”

Andy Lonergan goes into Saturday's game against Ipswich Town as Wanderers' only senior goalkeeper, with Jay Lynch likely to fill in on the bench.

It will be exciting to see how Lonergan does while Bogdan is out.

Lonergan is a decent keeper but I wouldn't say any better than Bogdan. Your keeper is only as good as your defence sometimes and at the moment I think that is the case with us.

Also we have signed a young Keeper from Man U if my memory serves me right.

Lonergan is better than Bogdan.

Dougie is slowly being forced to put out a better team thanks to injuries.

It will be interesting to see what the response is from certain quarters when Lonergan makes a few fuck ups as he surely will because every goalkeeper does. Bogdan is a good goalie in front of a shit defence,it will be fascinating to see how much better Lonergan fares. Personally I dont think there is a lot to choose between the two of them but I wait for Lonergan to shine or else hope Bogdan gets well soon,we shall see !!

Any one who isn't playing is the best thing since sliced bread. So Longergan will be the darling until he palms one out into the 6 yard area then he'll be "shit"
