Why do people carry mobile phones around like they are a small child?

People think more of their phones than they do people. The majority of folk can't live without them.

Why do kamikaze pilots wear helmets? Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

Why do the investigators in CSI always examine crime scenes in the dark armed only with a flashlight pen torch? Surely it would be easier to switch on the lights?

Karly, they use a piece of kit called a fluoroscope to look for bloodstains and bodily fluids. This kit only works in the dark but every time these buggers go anywhere the lights are always off. It's just not normal.karlypants wrote:The flashlight is not a UV light RT to show body fluids normal light cannot?Reebok Trotter wrote:Why do the investigators in CSI always examine crime scenes in the dark armed only with a flashlight pen torch? I've just installed strobe lights in the bedroom. It makes the wife look like she's moving during sex.

Why do we have two words that mean exactly the same thing - flammable and inflammable?

I thought they used UV in forensics.Reebok Trotter wrote:Karly, they use a piece of kit called a fluoroscope to look for bloodstains and bodily fluids. I had a look on google at a fluroscope but only came across devices that would be used in hospitals like for X-rays that obtain real time moving images of the internal structures of a patient (fluoroscopy).

Why do you press harder on a remote-control when you know the battery is dead?

They certainly do use UV to search for bloodstains etc in the dark. There is a specific chemical that they use to detect bloodstains but I can't remember the name of it. they spray it around and then they switch the lights off and hey presto!
I can't remember a single episode of CSI where they actually switched the lights on to carry out an investigation.

Why do adverts mention names that mean bugger all to people, such as Casei L immunitas. ? Also, why are soap characters never allowed to show any intelligence, or knowledge of the outside world?

Why do politicians rob us blind, think we should be grateful when they cancel a tax that isn't in force, (petrol), and speak to us all as though we are all incredibly dim, and can't recognise a lie when its being told.
