Who's been staying up to watch it?

What the hell is going wrong, apart from Mitchell Johnson?

I've been watching it until the dinner break (or lunch if you're posh).

I'll tell you what has/is going wrong.... the Aussies were the better team in the last two/three tests in England in the summer. We just had a game changing man or two and a decent amount of luck in that series.

The game changing man or two aren't doing it in this series and they aren't being helped at all by others (we're incapable of batting). We haven't made 400 plus for nearly a year now.

For Pietersen with the talent he has not to get a ton on that pitch is criminal. His ego is giving them catching practice because he thinks that he's the best player on the pitch (both sides).

No swing for Jimmy.
Cook is shitting himself.
Swann won't get the spin and LBW's that he wants down there.
Root is still wet behind the ears.

So that's leaving Broad, Panesar and Bell to do the graft.

Don't be surprised if it's a 5-0 whitewash.

Pretty much agree with everything you say CD though I think you were a bit harsh on Joe Root. Our batting is dreadful at the moment as you say. I do think though that the shock value of Mitchell Johnson actually turning up for once is the major reason for the hammerings we have had so far. When he gets a bit of confidence and accuracy in his game he is a real handful. That said,I'm really fed up with our "We're a great side and all we have to do is turn up" attitude to the first Test in any series we play.
Perth is not the place you want to go in desperate need of a result to get back into the series. Though I'm not his biggest fan I think Finn has to play there and just pray he bowls fast and reasonably accurately.

It all comes down to bottle. Our players have none.

It's just another case of too much praise being heaped on average sportsmen who have let it go to their heads.
