I can think of...

First half...

  • The Pratley volley inside the box, he put wide.
  • Another Pratley effort blocked.
  • Mason put the ball across the face of goal for Moritz to tap in but it trickled across the line and nobody tapped it in.
  • A Mason shot from inside the box, clear chance, saved and held by the keeper.
  • Pratley half volley from 45 yards out (exactly the same as Suarez goal midweek) inches wide.
  • Pratley fouled in the box, no penalty.
  • The Mason goal was also after about 20 passes of great build up which was cracking to see and impossible to appreciate on the video.

Second half...

  • Danns effort from 20 yards, spectacular save from keeper.
  • Lee, tricked his way down the wing, beat three men, got to the byline pulled it back for someone
  • Eagles loads of times beat his man down the wing and got a cross in.
  • Corner after corner resulting in near misses or saves.
  • The disallowed goal.
  • Mason into the side netting from close range.
  • Mills header just wide of the angle of post and bar.

There were more in each half, some which didn't result in shots but were still great moves and openings. I just wish we could see them again...

And then there was almost everything Moritz did...

  • Dinked the ball over a man twice to beat him (also a bit like Suarez for his other goal midweek)
  • Several perfectly placed trick passes and pack heels.
  • A couple of, or three, over weighted passes (which still got to Eagles- just a bit wider than intended) but great vision all the same.
  • His pass for the Mason goal.
  • His overhead pass out to the wing when he looked like he was going to boot it back toward his own net, it threw everybody and sent Eagles on a run.
  • Even the bit where he walked with the ball, dead casually toward their box, he was in slow motion, and all the crowd had a giggle at how he taunted them knowing they couldn't get it off him.
  • His goal. On TV it didn't seem to do it justice.

What else did we see?

And can somebody please tell me why it's impossible to see any decent video highlights of the game?

The BBC, Sky, the club itself and a tonne of foreign channels all have full 90 minute copies of the match. There must be a market for allowing it to be seen? WHO BENEFITS BY IT STAYING LOCKED AWAY?

There is a Danns chance in this video not shown on sky or on bbc...

A very good point and I totally agree, surely locking the content away is a waste.  Maybe after a period of time the games should become available to the public, I think you should email the club and find out the reason.

I'm glad you agree. I wonder if there is some rule that says they can't show more than two chances or something, I can't see it though...

The club or the league sponsor or even the BBC or sky could massively increase their web traffic by having an extended highlights version on their site - especially since the video already exists. What benefit to them is it to trim it to just the goals or the goals and two chances?

Nostalgia...
I remember we used to run to the car after a home match at Burnden Park to see if we could catch Granada Goals Extra in case video plus hadn't worked - or in case m mum forgot to press PLAY+REC.

Do none of you have Wanderers Player?

I know it costs but you'll get the full game on there if you want it.

Under Coyle and Dougie, definitely the Bolton fans.

There's no chance of the BBC showing more than the basics of our matches. We always got the grave shift on MOTD and we now get the grave shift on FLS. Best chance of seeing extended highlights is if we beat Leicester or QPR by a hatful. ITV might be a bit more generous if we win the FA Cup.

Klasnic would've added another nine goals to his already ridiculous goal tally if some clueless tosser wouldn't of fucked him off.

There is no way wanderers player shows a full match. No chance. Full radio commentary yes. Video. No way.

I was quite obviously talking about after the event, seeing as you were mentioning highlights or the lack of them.

On Clarets Player they have the full game on a day or so later, so I assume it's the same with Wanderers player.

100% positive Biggie.

I subscribed to Clarets Player in the summer because a year or so ago our local radio (2BR) was stopped from commentating on all games. So when I'm not at an away game I can listen to the commentary on Clarets Player.

They put the highlights on usually after the Football League Show has finished on the BBC red button on sunday dinner and the full match is put up on the monday.

If you scroll down the page on the link you will see 'REPLAY : Burnley v Barnsley 2nd half and REPLAY Burnley v Barnsley 1st half ........... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
