Another knee jerk reaction. Spurs are 7th in the Premiership, in the Q/F of the League Cup and in the last 32 of the Europa league. Granted AVB has spent £107 million on new players at the start of the season but with the sale of Gareth Bale their only net spend is about £4 million.
AVB won 55.7% of his games in charge, the highest win percentage of any Tottenham manager since 1899.

Another board deluded by their own sense of greatness.
Just like Fulham and West Brom.
Where will they end this season? Spurs top half ,and the other two bottom half or relegated. Who do these people think they are?

I think that the expectation is just too great for a lot of football teams. The board and the fans all want instant success and nobody has any patience once a few results don't go your way.

Another strange decision. Franco Baldini is supposed to be head of recruiting players at Spurs and apparently it was him who signed Erik Lamela & Roberto Soldado, who cost over £50 million for the pair. Surely Baldini's neck should have been on the block as well?

It's a bit of a tosser club is that one.
Being associated with Alan Sugar confirms it.

I can just imagine AVB sat down with a cheque for ten million on his mantelpiece .
Must be gutted the poor lad.

He inherited a squad that had just finished 4th, and guided them to 5th. Not too bad, but this season, he has spent the Bale money awfully - £26m for Soldado is laughable - and has been a prat about the fans.

I think AVB has had a big issue with the press. He hasn't won over the likes of Martin Samuels and the rest of the big cheeses who write for the tabloids.

Spurs are losing 1-2 at White Hart Lane. Big Sam could keep his job if he can get the Hammers into the semis! His boss is a reasonable man.

The players brought in may not represent value for money, but they are still good players and with that talent on board and the likes of Defoe on the bench Spurs should be doing much better.
