I really can't understand for the life of me why people should be embarrassed about where they shop. What difference does it make? If you can buy an essential item cheaper elsewhere then why not?

If Mr Patel at my my corner shop could match the big stores in price and range then that is where my money would go.

I read somewhere that Waitrose are now giving out free brews to customers, and some people aren't happy as it attracts the wrong sort of clientele.

Imagine being such an utter fuckwit.

I bet Whittam's a Waitrose girl.

Aldi's bloody fantastic,no doubt about it. I'm a recent convert but it saves me an absolute fortune on the weekly shopping. Quality wise most of the stuff is excellent as well. My cat is fussy as hell and just turns it's nose up and walks away when presented with the likes of Whiskas and Felix but tucks into Aldi's catfood like it's a delicacy. Likewise the dog (with dogfood). What more proof do you need of quality. The Shipsterns draught bitter is excellent and is only 2.99 for 4 cans, much nicer than Boddies, Smiths or Tetleys.
I'm an ex-Morrisons regular but when I walk round there these days I just think they're taking the piss with how their prices rise from week to week.

I buy the Shipsterns bitter as well. It's a decent slurp.

You meet lots of toffs in there wearing shades and scarves covering their faces to hide their embarrassment. Their cheese is cheap and good value- and their sliced ham is better than anyone else's.

Glad you mentioned the ham rammy, it is excellent.
