The Dentist!

Talking of dentists....

Not been for 3 years because I am definitely petrified.

I used to see Mr Winstanley at Silverwell Street. When I was 13 he pulled 6 out, after putting me under with gas! Worst thing was I actually started blurting out stuff about his daughter (who as in my year at Thornleigh!). He has long since retired and replaced by Mt Glynn - last time I went I was advised I needed a root canal - so asked him what was te other option - extraction - so I cheekily asked which is the cheaper option - it was £500 for root canal and £25 for extraction! No thought was needed, extraction it was.

Since then only been once for a check up and all was fine.

By not going for regular check-ups, a small problem can end up being a massive problem.

Turned out fine. No fillings,no cleaning,gums fine. What was all the fuss about? Whoever started this thread should be banned.

You said she was newly qualified.

I'd suggest she's like a YTS mechanic who doesn't know a carburettor from a clutch plate and you've just been charged about forty quid for having a clueless child poke about in your mouth for a bit......

Expect excruciating tooth pain any-time soon......

Insured with 'Denplan' Bread,so check-ups are free. It's when the drills come out you start taking a tighter grip on yer wallet. Mind you Denplan costs me £18 a month so they get their pound of flesh.

I must admit, I am not the biggest fan of going to the Dentist, Doctors or Hospitals, I think there is some kind of phobia for this?

Anyway, my biggest gripe about going to my Dentist, is SHE never stops blabbing to her assistant, which is really annoying, she doesn't wear one of those Michael Jackson type surgical masks and I can feel her spit on my face when she's blabbing.

I also have to look at a giant Liverpool FC poster, which is positioned directly above me on the ceiling, when I am flat on my back. It's not the most pleasurable of experiences.

No,stopped backing horses over 20yrs ago, so it's all a bit new again, Jockeys, Trainer's and Breeding etc.
