Dougie Freedman has confirmed that Jermaine Beckford has returned to training and should be available to face his former employers Leeds United this weekend.

The club’s top scorer has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since Wanderers’ 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on January 11, but the manager confirmed that the striker could feature in Saturday's game at Elland Road.

“Jermaine Beckford should be back this weekend,” said Freedman in his pre-match press conference. “He’s been out training with us and running around, so he will be in the squad for Saturday.

“He’s definitely back in contention – he’s trained very well this week and we’re pleased to have him back.”

Think he's a certainty to be on the bench. Mason and Juke work well together so there's no reason to change things up front at the moment but it's good to see JB is fit and there's a battle for a place or at least a backup available if Juke or Joe lose form or get injured.

Fuck me, Mr Beckford is coming back.

4-4-2 is going to be a great formation for us now.
