If you lost your hair, would you wear a rug? I wouldn't. Then again I wouldn't try to hide the fact with a ridiculous comb over like Donald Trump. I'd probably shave the lot off and try to look hard. A hair transplant might be a step too far. Any rug men out there?

I had a mate who wore one for over 40 years. He died at 81 and still wore one right up to his death. He had three pelts which sat on Polystyrene heads in his bedroom. The pelts were all seasonal and were of different lengths and shades.
They couldn't have looked more false had he worn a chinstrap! He was a really good friend and a salt of the earth type but he couldn't bear to be seen without his rug. It looked like a cross between a judges wig and a Davy Crockett hat! Whenever he entered the room you got a faint whiff of acrylic.

No chance. I would rather pay for a Wayne Rooney type hair transplant.

Hell no.
Get it cut short or shave it off and stop being a ponce.

I love a good quality rug, just don't like the carpet burns!

That's the problem. Men that wear them think they look good, and that they look genuine. The old board marker at our bookies(when they had board markers)used to wear a rubbish 'Crown Topper',and punters used to come in just to look at him. They used to offer each other odds on whether it would fall off. It did once, and he put it back on as if nothing had happened.Breadman wrote:I'm wearing one now and I look well fit.

I actually hate the fact that I am going grey! I would rather lose my hair than go grey!!! At least with losing hair I could have a shaven head and wear a cap to keep warm, whereas grey hair is much harder to hide and either needs nothing and let it grow or colouring it. But then the colouring doesn't match the grey ear hairs or the nostril hairs - even my facial hair is beginning to go grey!!!

I remember being in a chippy a few years ago in Atherton and an old bloke was in there, he was wearing a really obvious wig, it must have cost him a quid from the pound shop. When he walked out of the shop, all the staff burst out laughing.
