I seem to remember an article in the Bolton News about his death. He always had loads of time for the fans when I was younger and watched training practically every day during school holidays at Bromwich Street.

I can't say I remember Brian Bromley, I certainly don't remember seeing him play. I feel quite young.  Very Happy

He played from about 62 till about 65/66.

The first Wanderers team I saw play was:
Hopkinson, Hartle, Farrimond, Rimmer, Edwards, Hatton, Lee, Hill, Davies, Bromley, Taylor.

That would explain it. I didn't go to my first game until January 66.

Small in stature but hard as nails. His best position was sitting in front of the back four.

Exactly. I was very disappointed when he was sold.
