Well done Owen.

Official Site says...
Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has been rewarded for a successful March by being named the Barclays Manager of the Month.
The Whites recorded three consecutive league victories last month, picking up nine points from the fixtures against Queens Park Rangers, Blackburn Rovers and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It is the second time that the Bolton boss has scooped the accolade during his tenure at the Reebok Stadium, following on from the achievement in November 2010.
Coyle said: "I am delighted to receive the award on behalf of everyone at the football club.
"As much as it is called the 'Manager of the Month' it is very much a collective effort and reflects how hard everybody has worked, particularly to win the last three games.
"We have moved in the right direction and we have to keep it going in the remaining weeks of the season.
"One thing that we would like to do is win the award again for April because it would mean that we are continuing the progress at the football club.
"We have given ourselves a platform and now have an opportunity to go and win the matches and points that will see us remain in the Barclays Premier League."

Why has Coyle won manager of the month in your opinion?
Is it because we have won 3 and lost 2 games in March?
Is it because he handled the Muamba incident with dignity? - and should that matter? Perhaps it should. Perhaps not.
Is it because the givers of the award have noticed renewed fight and ambition from the team. Is it because Coyle used super subs to grab us three premiership wins on the trot?
Are the awarders guilty of jumping on the Muamba band wagon?
Are we all guilty of that - after all, our best attendance of the season was against Blackburn of all clubs. (The first match after the heart attack issue)
Have any other clubs and managers done more than us in March to deserve the award?

I don't have the time or inclination to look at all the others team stats.
You say "won 3 lost 2" as though it's a mediocre record but the two defeats were away at Man City and Tottenham, games nobody expected anything from.
Just to be clear as well, Muamba suffered from cardiac arrest, not a heart attack.

Thanks large hat.
In fact, the Spurs match does not count anyway since it was a Cup game...
Team form chart shows us 7th, but only teams you might expect are above us...

We are higher than Spurs, Norwich, West Brom, Liverpool, Blackburn, Wigan, QPR, Fulham, Stoke, Villa etc. And just one place behind Chelsea.

Thankfully the ginger whinger only won it once.. Just don't get me started about him (not about his (lack) of tactical nouse but because of the way he handled PR more than anything else!!!).
With regards to Coyle, I do presume its to do with the Muamba cause more than anything else as he was superb at handling it all.

Obviously Coyles fantastic handling of a crisis situation was taken into account.
a credit to Bolton Wanderers during the period, and when you add to that the fact he was able to lead the team to 3 wins on the spin at the same time.
well deserved.

Well done OC, forgetting the Mumaba situation, winning 3 on the bounce in this league takes some doing against any team.

Always been the kiss of death, but it's nice for him to be recognised for the decent results if not the performances. Trying not to be superstitious about this.

Well done to OC. however we look at it, its another positive step towards instilling some confidence in the team. Onward and upward (albeit one step at a time)

Well the so called curse strikes again, I suppose you have to blame that performance on something.
