"Seven footballers arrested in spot-fixing investigation

 

Seven players from Football League clubs in north-west England have been arrested in connection with alleged spot-fixing.

The footballers are all aged between 18 and 30, the National Crime Agency said.

The agency also said six other men originally arrested in December on suspicion of involvement in spot-fixing had been re-arrested after new evidence came to light.

All 13 are currently being interviewed by police.

Spot-fixing is where a player influences a specific element of a match, for example by getting a yellow card, without trying to fix the final score."

If spot-fixing is where a team concedes a very preventable goal I presume the whole BWFC squad is banged up.

I believe that they have all been re-arrested because of new evidence.

So that's 13 up to now.

Dougie and Trotter must be involved with this scam. There's no other possible explanation for Trotter keep getting in the team as a starter when he's playing like he has never seen a football in his life before.

Six Preston and one from Barnsley (have they moved Barnsley to the north west?)

The Preston fans are shitting themselves what with them being in such a good position in the league.

No one has been convicted yet, but what a great shame that all this has just come after Mr Preston Sir Tom Finney has died.

I hope that they don't bring his club down.
